Last Post of Christmas Talk until December
Here are some highlights from our Christmas Eve and Day last year. We are so glad we made the decision to stay home for Christmas Eve and Day! Reid’s parents stopped by Christmas morning on their way to North Carolina to visit with Reid’s sister and family. My parents and sister came Christmas night and spent a few days with us.
On Christmas Eve, Santa (with a pillow up his/her shirt) drove down our street.
A lot of the day was spent doing cooking prep for the next day and putting together Legos from sets Jack got the day before from family.
We made cookies for Santa, of course.
Jack loved tracking Santa on the iPad.
Santa left a mess with the wrapping paper and milk and cookies. We left wrapping paper out because it felt like too much trouble to hide “Santa’s” paper, so we helped him out.
Jack noticed Santa left a table, but didn’t realize the table was his and for his Legos.
This really is what Christmas Day looked like: setting up Legos in the midst of chaos.
Also, while my parents were here, we took Jack bowling for the first time. He loved it and wasn’t as bad as I thought he’d be at it.
