There is a monster among us

February 1, 2010

I feel that there is a monster of some sort in the Davis household. Not just any monster, but a monster that feels the need to steal things and hide them from us.

I’m not kidding.

Ok, maybe it’s not a monster, but if it’s not, then what else can explain disappearing things!??

I noticed it last Thursday when I sat a couple of grocery bags on the floor. Reid claims to have put up the watermelon, but left the bags on the floor. No big deal- we were about to watch a movie before it got too late.

The bags were gone and neither of us remember putting up the items. The items in question (food for Jack) are a sweet potato, can of black beans, and some bananas…. and no where to be found in this house. What in the world!

We’ve thought about what if we threw these things away, but that’d be wierd since the bag would be heavy, so we couldn’t have thought it was empty. I’d dig threw our trash can, but there are diapers and shrimp peelings from last night and some smells are not worth it.

I’m also missing a black ring.

Did you check the car? Maybe it didn’t get brought in with the other groceries. Just guessing.
