Motivated…for now

January 6, 2009

I’m currently taking a break from cleaning out our bathroom cabinets. I never realized we had so many expired medications, some even from 1999! So, naturally, I saved them for later this year. Or not.

I feel really good about my job lately, maybe it’s because of the new year and some of my newly motivated clients. One of my new clients has a weight loss goal of 50 pounds by April! (Side note: She owns a local bridal shop, in which she sold my best friend from Mobile her wedding dress. Small world.)

For a while, I got burned out with all things fitness. It was a fun hobby before it became my profession. Once I was surrounded by it all the time, I didn’t love it as much and was more annoyed by weight loss shows, magazines, etc. Lately, I’m back to watching shows like Ruby, Fat Fiance’ (laugh it up), and The Biggest Loser.

My clients have noticed I’m serious, too. I’ve pushed them harder than normal lately because their cardio is not where it should be and they’re not eating right. I’m not very happy with a few of them- and they know it. I keep telling them it’s a new year and we’re starting all over, and they’re starting to believe me.

On the other hand, I’m so proud of one of my clients! We did an eval last night and she’s lost almost 10% body fat since I started training her in May!

Ok, back to cleaning out every drawer and cabinet in this house. Could it be the hormones?!

I got a new blog, so you should check it out! I just got re-motivated to workout and eat right also. I’m glad others struggle with it and understand how hard it is. 🙂
