Define Outing

July 11, 2008

Here’s pieces of a conversation we had yesterday.

Ashley: I want to go somewhere tomorrow night to hang out. Maybe we can read at Starbucks together or go to a bookstore or something.

Reid: Ok, we’ll figure out something.

Later in the evening:

R: Oh, I know what we can do tomorrow night.

A: Great! *getting excited*

R: We can go to Home Depot on 280 and look for the doorknob for the front door. That can be our outing. *he’s serious*

A: *disapproving look on face*

R: In, uh, addition to where ever else you want to go.

This is how differently we think about hanging out on a Friday night, haha!

Just for the record, I did NOT consider a trip to Home Depot as an outing. I only asked if we could go there while we were out. And I’ve been waiting to get this doorknob forever. It’s been very elusive.

I don’t get it, Home Depot is a great place for an outing. If you really want to impress a girl, though, take her to Lowe’s. They have a taste for the finer things there.

Hey, great blog by the way. I found the link on Lori’s blog and I had to check it out. Drop me an e-mail and we’ll catch up: tomnsallyATgmailDOTcom
