Almost settled

I started my new job on Monday and I LOVE it! I work at an oral surgeon’s office,Koslin and Kahn. I’m one of three front desk receptionists. My job entails greeting patients when they enter the building, answering the phones, scheduling appts for three different offices, making sure all the paperwork is in the charts, pulling charts, and giving post-op instructions. We stay pretty busy so time flies– for example, Thursday afternoon between 1 and 5 we saw 36 patients with one doctor!

Its very different from any other office I’ve worked in; there are 9 people working the front desk essentially. Every office I’ve worked in the front desk just did everything. Well, here there are designated people to put labels on charts, enter the data, verify the ins, billing, file charts, etc etc. It’s nice to not be responsible to every detail.

When I think of the doctor I work for I think of the wizard of Oz simply because I’ve barely even seen him and I’ve heard so many things about him that I’m terrified of him!

Reid and I are both relieved in all areas of our lives. We’re relieved to be done with the old apartment and that I’m not the dir. of financial aid anymore. I’m starting to feel like a whole person again.

On our date last night we saw Shrek3 at the dollar theatre. Here we are with our beloved vanilla coke!
It was so fun to just laugh together!

Tonight we grilled out for the first time!



And the final product – “Hawaiian” burgers with butternut squash fries.
