The first two days of owning a house
We became houseowners at 1:36 PM on Thursday afternoon. It didn’t feel like it at first because the previous owners were yet to be out of the house…so we waited for the day to pass, which felt like forever. But they eventually got out of the house; they’ve still been moving stuff while we’ve starting remodeling.
My parents and sister have come up to help us make the house look like we want it. Whats been done so far: ripped out the carpet, removed the tile from entry way, removed tile from fireplace, removed chair rails, removed wallpaper, painted every piece of trim work in house (b/c it was yellowish), painting kitchen, laid most of the tile, built two archways- they just need drywall.
There’s still much to do. But here are some pictures.
I love this picture b/c it looks like Dad’s doing all the work and Reid’s just playing around…
The soon-to-be-office after I got rid of the wallpaper border
Our living room. Doesn’t it look warm and cozy?
Our kitchen….before….
And now the kitchen, from another angle, so far
The archway…
and now…
Ok, thats all for now because I’m quite delirious.
PS: If you like to paint and you’re good at it, then come on down! I’ve got 6 rooms (3 bedrooms, 1 hallway, 1 kitchen, 1 living room) to paint….Ok, I’m only kidding..
where is the house at?
