Dear Steve Madden

Dear Mr. Madden,

I recently purchased a pair of your black flats from DSW. I was thrilled to find cute shoes for work that weren’t a high heel at such a low price (80% off). My husband wasn’t upset about me buying new shoes either because the price was so great and it should help my knees and toes recover.

I proudly wore my new shoes to work on Monday. They went with my outfit perfectly.

But then something happened- I felt an irritation on the back of my heels. It had only been a couple hours! What was happening?! My new black shoes had turned against me. As the day progressed, I walked on my tippy toes wherever I went. I drove home barefoot, not being able to handle the excruciating pain.

I was left with two blisters on my left heel and one blister on my right. Now I’m left to deal with the aftermath– water hurts my blisters, running shoes don’t help either, my other new pair of shoes aren’t as comfortable b/c of the blisters, AND I still need black flats for work that don’t bring such pain. The good thing, however, is since the shoes were on sale, I’m only out $11 dollars; but I am still a little disappointed. Normally shoes make me happy, very happy.

Maybe someone will get good use out of them when they purchase them at a yardsale or the thrift store….

Sincerely,
Ashley Davis

I’ve only owned one pair of Steve Maddens and I was very disappointed with them. I, unfortunately, paid full price. I had them for about a week before they started falling apart. I took them back and after much arguing, got the salesman to swap them for a new pair. That pair quickly fell apart as well. I will never buy another pair. The end.

Keep wearing them until it doesn’t hurt anymore. It sounds barbaric but seriously, that’s what you have to do with the guitar, and other examples that i can’t exactly conjur at this moment. Those shoes were cool looking.
