“And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back, with wonder.”

Some random new channel has decided to bring The Wonder Years back. So we’ve been watching.
I never was interested in The Wonder Years when I was younger; it seemed like a boy show and I was more interested in important shows like Full House (haha). I also hated the name “Winnie.” Now I know that its short for Gwendolyn.
Reid, however, grew up with this show– right alongside with Kevin and Paul. He knows all this background trivia and how the story ends. He’s even got me listening to the soundtrack. I appreciate The Wonder Years because I feel like I’m learning more about Reid since this is something he grew up with and felt he could identify with (all except the family situation) when he was younger.
It’s like a watching a new show for me. It’s sometimes painful because I find that I can relate with the main characters, or atleast the dorky jr. high girls! Even watching it last night Reid said, “You were THAT girl weren’t you?”
Isn’t it crazy how our emotions can be stirred just by a 25 minutes television show?
What tv shows or movies do you feel like you can identify with or relate to??

i always thought that reid resembled fred savage aka kevin when he was a little kid. i mean, not that i knew him then….but from the pictures in the hallway at his parents house….you know which ones i’m talking about!
